CTM MAGICAL COURIER

CTM Magical Courier, Newspaper Project for Harry Potter Themed Year-End Event

The CTM Magical Courier was a Harry Potter-themed newspaper designed for CTM’s 2015 Year-End Event, bringing employees together through storytelling, humor, and creative engagement. Led by the HR team, the project involved cross-departmental collaboration to produce a professionally printed bulletin that captured the company’s annual highlights while reinforcing corporate culture and team spirit.

1. Background & Context

During my tenure as Head of HR at CTM, corporate events played a vital role in reinforcing our company culture. Our Year End events were always creatively themed, and in 2015, our committee chose a "Harry Potter" theme. The office was transformed with thematic decorations, and the event agenda was tailored to reflect the magical world.

2. Objectives

The project aimed to celebrate our annual achievements in a fun and engaging way while strengthening interdepartmental collaboration and corporate culture. Additionally, we sought to create a memorable, themed journal that captured the highlights of CTM’s 2015 activities.

3. Scope & Stakeholders

The initiative extended beyond the event itself to include the production of a themed newspaper. This project involved multiple departments—HR, Marketing, Accounting, and Administration—with contributions from upper management and various teams. The newspaper was designed to reflect the year’s activities and serve as a keepsake for employees.

4. Approach & Methodology

A dedicated committee gathered to brainstorm and select the "Harry Potter" theme for the Year End event. Once chosen, the office was decorated to match the theme, and the event agenda was customized accordingly. I served as the Editor in Chief for the newspaper, coordinating a cross-departmental editorial team.
We produced original articles, creatively photoshopped existing CTM images to fit the theme, and actively solicited contributions—including puzzles, news updates, and themed articles—from various departments and upper management. The newspaper was professionally printed at a reputable publishing house, designed to look like a real newspaper, and was named "CTM Magical Courier."

5. Results & Impact

  • The Harry Potter-themed event and the "CTM Magical Courier" newspaper received overwhelmingly positive feedback from employees.
  • The project not only enhanced the festive atmosphere of the Year End celebration but also fostered a sense of unity and engagement across the company.
  • It successfully highlighted the year’s achievements in a creative way, leaving a lasting impression on the entire organization.
